A <a href=\"https:\/\/cpk-studio.com\/index.php\/resources\/process-capability-analysis\/\">process capability analysis<\/a> is only meaningful if the defined specification limits accurately reflect the needs of the final product.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Smaller is Cpk, bigger are deffects. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A low Cpk means one of three things: the mean is far from the center of the limits, or standard deviation of the readings is too high (wide spread), or both conditions exist.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Common rules defines a threshold of 1.33 for Cpk.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In the industry, a Cpk of less than 1.66 needs a closer look. Define<\/h5><p>Define the problem, goal, potential resources, project scope and timeline.<\/p><h5>2. Measure<\/h5><p>Measure and collect data according to defined strategy and ensure data is reliable and significant.<\/p><p>The performance metric baseline(s) from the Measure phase will be compared to the performance metric at the conclusion of the project to determine objectively whether significant improvement has been made.<\/p><p>Key tools in this phase may include <a href=\"https:\/\/cpk-studio.com\/index.php\/resources\/process-capability\/\">process capability measurement<\/a>, basic Pareto charts, trend charts, process flowcharts and Gage R&amp;R.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/cpk-studio.com\/index.php\/cpk-analyzer\/\">CPK Analyzer<\/a> module has been designed to simplify the processing of collected data as well as their analysis.<\/p><h5>3.
